C.A.S.A. Partners Program

When children enter foster care, they often come with only the clothes they are wearing. Given the circumstances, our My Bag program steps in to offer these children a thoughtfully prepared backpack or duffel bag.

Inside each bag, there is a unique handcrafted blanket, clothing, hygiene products, a plush toy, and reading materials to offer solace to the child. This program helps eliminate the degrading label of "trash bag kids" previously associated with children in the local foster care system who received their belongings in black garbage bags. Providing more than just the essentials, the My Bag program empowers these children with dignity and comfort during a challenging and uncertain period in their lives.

Since its inception in March 2002, the My Bag program has distributed over 20,000 duffle bags & backpacks, brimming with compassion, respect, and reassurance.
