Our Mission
Empower foster children. Enhance their potential. Support their growth.
C.A.S.A. Partners is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting the local C.A.S.A. Program and enhancing the lives of abused and neglected children currently in the foster care system in Spokane County and children who are at risk of entering the system. We were founded in 1997 by a group of C.A.S.A.’s and sponsors four direct service projects: My Bag, My School Bag, Needs From The Heart, and the Bee Kind Garden.
C.A.S.A. Partners was started with a three-year, $30,000 grant from the Junior League of Spokane. Today we continue to grow with the generous support of many community organizations, businesses, and individual donors.
C.A.S.A. Partners is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children placed in the foster care system by allowing them to experience some of the pleasures of being a child.

Who We Serve
In Spokane County, there exists a group of over 1,000 vulnerable children and teenagers currently under the care of Child Protective Service (CPS). These individuals have faced severe abuse and neglect within families that have not provided them with the support they need. Many of them lack personal belongings and struggle with various emotional and physical challenges such as depression, behavioral issues, and learning delays. C.A.S.A. Partners strives to improve the well-being of these children in foster care, offering them opportunities to reclaim the simple joys of childhood.
What is a C.A.S.A.?
In the role of a C.A.S.A., which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate, individuals volunteer after completing training through the C.A.S.A. Program. Serving as advocates for children facing abuse and neglect in family court, C.A.S.A’.s undergo 30 hours of initial training before being sworn in as officers of the Court. This swearing-in grants them the legal power to investigate a child's circumstances and present reports and recommendations regarding the child's well-being to the court. Working solely as volunteers, C.A.S.A.’s take on cases of abuse, neglect, and abandonment that are referred to them by Child Protective Services.
