My School Bag volunteers shopped for, stuffed, and delivered backpacks filled with new school clothes and supplies to 270 children in time the first day of school.  An extension of My Bag, My School Bag targets children identified by social workers and public health nurses as being at risk of abuse and neglect and/or living with relatives who don’t have the financial resources to provide the back to school necessities.  With information on sizes, etc., provided by social workers, My School Bag volunteers shopped for each individual child.
